What you can expect as part of our Team:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Maintains a clean, warm,  inviting environment by:
   1. Create an atmosphere of warmth and welcome in assigned unit
   2. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning tables, chairs, wheelchairs, sweeping floors etc…
   3. Take the initiative to initiate conversations with residents, visitors, and staff
   4. Perform scheduled and spontaneous activities with residents in the neighborhood or in the facility as assigned
   5. Remain observant and anticipate resident needs while performing unit tasks
   6. Keep any institutional equipment clean and stored appropriately
   7. Maintain a safe, clutter free environment
   8. Communicates resident preferences to interdisciplinary team
   9. Assist with inventory and storage of neighborhood food items
   10. Assist in food service in the neighborhood when assigned
   11. Participate in QAPI as assigned
   12. Participate in Culture Change as assigned
2. Assists with care for the residents by:
   1. Assist residents with personal belongings
   2. Make beds according to infection control policies
   3. Assist resident with light housekeeping in resident’s personal space to maintain a homelike environment
   4. Serve meals per the resident’s individualized care plan
   5. Assist resident’s with eating after successful completion of the Feeding Assistant Program
   6. Maintain resident dignity and confidentiality
   7. Provide drinks and snacks per resident’s individualized care plan
3. Operate elevator to take residents to and from the main dining room, activities, therapy gym, religious services and appointments in the facility
4. Report any activities, observations, or unusual findings regarding residents promptly to the licensed nurse
5. Follow safety and infection control policies and protect residents from injury
6. Follow applicable departmental and facility policies
7. Follow state and federal regulations as required
8. Attend and actively participate in scheduled in-service/educational programs
9. Maintain a clean, tidy appearance per the ESNR Handbook
10. Complete all necessary record keeping/documentation
