We thank you for your continued support through the COVID-19 pandemic. Our main goal remains to provide high-quality care and to keep your loved ones safe.
Our guidance from state and federal governing bodies continues to change rapidly. We are continuing to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Department of Health guidelines with regard to infection control policies and procedures for prevention and mitigation of COVID-19.
We continue to have no positive cases or residents with symptoms in our facility as of today. We tested all of our residents on the 5th floor this week related to a potential exposure from a positive staff member. We are happy to report all resident tests were negative. We are testing the 5th floor resident group again on Monday Nov 23. If we continue to have negative results, this unit will go back to green status.
We are continuing to test our staff group weekly. The last round of testing on November 16 and 17 unfortunately did have 2 positive results. Tracing did not result in the need to isolate any additional resident groups in our building. We will need to have fourteen full days of negative tests from our resident and staff group before we can open back up for in facility visits.

The holiday season is upon us and the coronavirus will have a definite effect. This week, the CDC released its recommendations for holiday celebrations during the pandemic. We will abide by these rules. The complete report is linked to from our website Jhep.org COVID-19 page, as are other pandemic cautionary documents and links.
Time slots and general type of window/indoor visits for the Thanksgiving holiday will be limited to our weekend availability and based upon our facility COVID outbreak status.
