Dear Families and Friends,
Over the past year, our Board of Directors has implemented strategies that more closely align us with our sister organizations, the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania and Webster Towers. We strive to more accurately represent the three entities as a provider of a full continuum of senior care. We look forward to investing further to enhance our current service repertoire that includes independent living, personal care, transitional care, memory-impaired services, and skilled nursing/ long-term care.
The services provided by these three entities throughout the northeast region will be under the leadership and governance of a newly established parent organization, Jewish Senior Life of Eastern Pennsylvania. In tandem with this restructuring is a new naming convention that better represents the entities as part of The Jewish Senior Life of Eastern Pennsylvania.
Elan Gardens, will now be Elan Gardens Senior Living, A Jewish Senior Life Community.
The Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania will now be referred to as Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab, A Jewish Senior Life Community.
Webster Towers will now be called Webster Towers Independent Living, A Jewish Senior Life Community.
The new names are presented as part of the continuum of care provided by Jewish Senior Life of Eastern Pa. as we market and advertise under the Elan and Jewish Senior Life “brands.” These brands reflect our proud heritage while leveraging our strengths and market position to ensure a sustainable future.
While our name has changed, our focus remains unchanged: to provide high quality, dignified, and compassionate care and services to all residents as well as enrich the experiences of older adults through a broad range of housing and support services that reflect their individual spiritual, social and cultural values.
Our leadership and governance will continue to represent our Jewish traditions while our Jewish ethics will continue guiding us to fulfill our mission. Senior citizens from all faith communities will continue to benefit from the leadership and innovation of Jewish Senior Life of Eastern Pennsylvania through various entities; Elan Skilled Nursing, Elan Gardens and Webster Towers.
During the next several months, we will be transitioning our business name to Elan Gardens Senior Living, and updating all of our various business communications accordingly. We appreciate your patience through this transition and your continued and ongoing confidence in our care of you and your loved one.
Located in South Abington Township in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Elan Gardens Senior Living will remain committed to providing a caring community that seniors can call home. Residents value our quality care, as well as the emphasis we place on independence. We were founded 26 years ago by the Jewish community, which felt there was a need for our services, tailored to the individual needs of our residents so they can get the assistance they need, while retaining their individual lifestyle. We were built from the ground up by the Jewish Home.
As a non-profit community, all of our goals are focused on accomplishing our mission: to offer a supportive residential environment dedicated to maintaining each individual’s strengths, abilities, and autonomy while providing the resources to further enhance the quality of their lives.
Warmest Regards,
Carol Leventhal
