Dear Family and Friends
We are happy and proud to be gaining an upper hand in our fight against COVID-19. Our vaccination program, emphasis on hygiene and the general drop in cases are positive signs.
We are very pleased to report that staff and resident testing this week have all come back negative! All of our units are in the green zone, with the exception of the designated yellow zone that we have on 4th floor for residents coming into the building for the first time or returning from the hospital. We are able to open back up for patio/indoor visits starting on Monday March 8, 2021! The visits will be held on neutral area on our first floor. Parking is best in our rear lot. Please see the attached notice on our visitor guidelines which provide information on how to schedule a visit.
Testing – Our staff group continues to test weekly.
Our Facility’s Resident Impact (Since March 30, 2020, through March 5, 2021)
0 – Residents currently in our building with a confirmed active case of COVID 19
56 – CONFIRMED: Residents with laboratory positive COVID-19
0 – SUSPECTED: Residents with new suspected COVID-19
52 – Confirmed Staff Total: with a positive COVID-19
- Please note that test results are reported on our daily call in line at 570-207-6711. Family members and all others impacted by the virus will be contacted directly and provided with results and updates.
Vaccine Campaign – Our vaccine campaign with Walgreens finished today. We are pleased to report that our 83% of our staff and 94% of our resident group completed the full series of the vaccine. Our combined total is 87% which is a very high in comparison to the national trend. Thanks to all who are an essential piece in solving the much bigger puzzle of COVID-19 by getting the vaccine!
Learn more about the vaccine on our website’s COVID-19 page as well as updates, videos, links and frequently asked questions. The medical and scientific community have made it their highest priority. Health Screening and sign in with the Accushield System– Those of you coming into our building will notice that we have added an enhancement to our technology in respect to screening and security. Rather than have a hand written sign in system, we have implemented kiosk computer system which all staff, visitors and vendors use to sign in answer health screening and temperature checks. The system will provide visitors with a badge to indicate that they have signed in. The first time that you sign in the system will ask you for your cell phone number to provide you with a pin for your login in. If you do not have a cell phone, our reception staff will help you with the sign in. We do require screening in and out of the building.
Thank you again for entrusting with the care of your loved ones. If you have any questions, we are always available for you.
Sincerely,
Mary Rose Applegate, MBA, RD, NHA
