Summary: Assists with general daily clerical duties in the business office and completes all duties related to nursing staff scheduling and nursing staff payroll under direction of the Assistant Administraitor and the Human Resources Coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with all phases of human resources within the facility including orientation,
employee relations training, employee data maintenance, payroll, benefits and
termination procedures.
Provide support and guidance to facility management and employees with a
focus on consistent employment practices.
Work closely with the HR team to determine open positions,
screen and interview applicants, extending offers of employment and completing
necessary paperwork.
During the onboarding process, you would ensure Department of Labor and
Department of Health compliance for all new hires including time-clock
enrollment, criminal background checks/reference checks/license verification
Additionally, you would be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of
nursing schedules, payroll processing tasks, time administration, reconciliations,
related reports and responding to inquiries related to payroll processes and
procedures.
Control, approve and track all PTO as necessary.
Create and post monthly staff schedules, track and post changes
Post and fill open shifts.
Maintain timely record of call-offs, tardiness, and early arrivals.
Monitor daily PPD.
Monitor and minimize staff overtime.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelors in Human Resources preferred, not required
Experience:
Long Term Care experience preferred
Language Skills: Ability to read and write reports for both business and nursing; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, staff, family members and the general public; Ability to communicate via telephone.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Special Requirements: Good interpersonal skills- treats residents, families/visitors and co-workers with courtesy. Must conform to established work hours and maintain an acceptable work attendance record.
