January 20, 2023, Letter to Friends and Families

We are monitoring the latest news from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as the latest COVID-19 infection control guidance with relation to its impact on our residents and visitors .

Thank you for supporting our mitigation efforts in vaccinations, masking and socially distancing.  We are continuing to follow CDC and department of health guidance related to contact tracing, isolation and testing that are specific for nursing home settings.    Please be vigilant when you come into to visit as our county and most locations in our state remains in a high rate of transmission.

  • Please note that test results are reported on our call-in line at 570-207-6711 which is updated daily when we have new positive results. Family members and all others impacted by the virus will be contacted directly and provided with results and updates.

Having an up to date vaccination status which includes the Bivalent booster is a recommended best practice for mitigation efforts against COVID 19.   A separate mailing was sent out this week to resident representatives again offer the Bivalent vaccine to residents who are not up to date.  Your cooperation in returning a response to accept or decline the vaccine  promptly is appreciated.  Carol Caviston, RN, our Infection Preventionist can be reached at 570-344-6177 ext. 1173 or ccaviston@jhep.org
