Dear Residents, Families and Caregivers,
The Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania is keeping our residents safe as we continue the transition to the new normal. As always, we at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania thank you for entrusting us with caring for your loved ones. We strive daily to provide the very best in care.
Patio Visits:
Upcoming reminders. Road work near the Jewish Home is continuing into next week. We are using the indoor main dining location for visits as the road work noise, dust and parking limitations make the indoor location more appropriate for our residents and their guests. We will keep you posted on changes in location.
We are not able to accommodate patio visits for our third-floor residents and families on Monday September 7, 2020, due to the Labor Day holiday. The date for this unit will be changed to Friday September 11, 2020, for that week. Lee Rutkowski will be reminding those who call to schedule appointments. For more information, visit our website: https://jhep.org/patio-visits/
Beauty Shop/Barber Visits. While these services are considered to be non-essential in respect to providing care during COVID 19, we understand that this is very important to our residents and their families. We are in the process of working out details to once again open up the salon on our first floor. We expect to have the arrangements made in the near future to once again provide these services on at least a weekly basis in accordance with our COVID opening plan. Watch for more information to come.
Life Enrichment. Sherri Collins and our Life Enrichment staff are planning some dance parties in the upcoming week. Please follow our Face Book page to keep up with the fun activities of the week.
General news
Our air-conditioning unit that services floors one through three had some unexpected repair needs on Thursday of this week. Please note that plans have been implemented to continue operations while replacement parts are in route.
Thank you again for your ongoing support, and stay safe,
Sincerely,
Mary Rose Applegate, MBA, RD, NHA
